Dr. Elisha Ncube is currently a Senior lecturer in the School of Natural Resources at the Copperbelt University. His research focuses on the application of physical & biological sciences in converting lignocellulosic materials into primary wood products & enhancing their performance in both aquatic & terrestrial service environments with a dichotomous view to augment carbon sink reservoirs & sustainable forestry management, & optimise biomass carbonisation & promote efficient use by domestic & industrial consumers.
Elisha’s research contribution has been disseminated in peer reviewed journals (e.g. European journal of forest research, Applied surface science, BioResources, Maderas. Ciencia y tecnología, Scientific Research and Essays, International Wood Products Journal, etcetera), local/international scientific (6th International Scientific Conference on Hardwood Processing, 57th SWST International Convention/7th Wood Structure and Properties, etcetera).
RESEARCH INTERESTS
- Wood anatomy & protection
- Lignocellulosics primary processing & protection
- Dendroecology for forest fires & air pollutants monitoring
