Mr. Kipuputwa joined The Copperbelt University as a Staff Development Fellow (SDF) in January 2008 and was appointed Lecturer, after successful completion of his MTech studies, in June 2010. Prior to his postgraduate studies he, worked as Assistant Production Manager at Copperbelt Forestry Company (CFC) for about a year just after graduating with a BSc. Wood Science & Technology in 2006. As a Lecturer at the Coppebelt University, Mr. Kipuputwa is specialised in Green construction Technologies using Wood, Bamboo and other Biomaterials for research, structural design and construction applications. He teaches Structural Mechanics, Wood Design & Construction as well as Wood Preservation.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
- Development of structural design data for major construction Timber Species in Zambia
- Use of Non Wood fibrous materials such as bamboo for construction and other applications including pulp and paper technology.
