POST GRADUATE PROGRAMMES
MASTERS OF SCIENCE IN CHEMISTRY
The program is supposed to span for four semesters. The first two semesters will have common courses in analytical, inorganic, organic and physical chemistry. The candidates are expected to have four courses from the specialized courses in the third semester. In addition, they will have the option to choose one or more elective courses. The fourth semester is exclusively devoted to a guided research project.

Our M. Sc. program currently offers specialization in the following four areas.
FIRST SEMESTER COURSES CHA 510 ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY I CHI 510 INORGANIC CHEMISTRY I CHO 510 ORGANIC CHEMISTRY I CHP 510 PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY I | FOURTH SEMESTER COURSES ACH 600 PROJECT |
Masters of Science in Analytical Chemistry
This course offers advanced theory and practice of modern instrumental methods of analysis to cover: molecular and atomic spectroscopy, electrochemical techniques, separation science, structural techniques, and other methods. This course also comprises advanced physical, inorganic and organic chemistry.
THIRD SEMESTER COURSES CHO 610 ORGANIC CHEMISTRY III CHO 620 ORGANIC CHEMISTRY IV OCH 630 ORGANIC CHEMISTRY V CHO 640 ORGANIC CHEMISTRY VI CHO 641 ORGANIC CHEMISTRY VII CHO 643 ORGANIC CHEMISTRY VIII CHO 645 ORGANIC CHEMISTRY IX CHC 611 COMPUTER APPLICATIONS IN CHEMISTRY | FOURTH SEMESTER COURSES CHO 600 PROJECT |
Masters of Science in Physical Chemistry
This course offers an advanced study of physical chemistry providing a more in-depth and extended treatment of the physical principles that govern the properties and behavior of chemical systems at both the macroscopic and sub-microscopic levels, and with applications to other branches of chemistry. This course also offers advanced level analytical, inorganic and organic chemistry.
