SUMMARY PROFILE

Fiindje Elago is a full-time lecturer in the Department of Physics.

RESEARCH AREA, PRESENTATIONS AND PUBLICATIONS

The general theme of Elago’s research is studying point defects in solids using thermoluminescence and its variant, phototransferred thermoluminescenc. The overall aim is to develop cheaper, durable and sensitive radiation dosimeters for applications in environmental health or medicine and production of more efficient electronic devices. One way to achieve this is through the exploitation of defects in solids. I am interested in using luminescence methods to study defects in insulators and semiconductors.
