Mrs. Getrude Kangwa – Siame is a Lecturer at Michael Chilufya Sata School of Medicine, Public Health Department. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health and a Masters Degree in Public Health with Specialty in Environmental Health from the University of Zambia. In addition, she holds two Diplomas in Environmental Health Sciences and Teaching Methodology. She has 5 years’ experience in higher education. She currently coordinates Environmental Health Program. Her teaching experience include food safety, occupation health and safety, water supply and sanitation, community health, pollution control and environmental monitoring. Mrs. Siame’s areas of interest and research include, public health, food safety, water and sanitation, occupation health and hygiene, communicable diseases, neglected tropical diseases. Mrs. Siame also served in the Ministry of Health (MOH) and rose through the ranks from Environmental Health Technologist, Environmental Health Officer, District Malaria Program Coordinator, Indo Residual Spraying (IRS) Manager and lastly served as Senior Health Promotions Officer.
