COPPERBELT UNIVERSITY PARTNERS WITH ZAMBIA INSTITUTE OF DIPLOMACY AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES

he Copperbelt University (CBU) and Zambia Institute of Diplomacy and International studies (ZIDIS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a training institute at the ZIDIS campus.

The MOU seeks to establish a partnership aimed at providing post graduate practical training in peace and conflict studies, business related programmes, and carry out research development in areas of interest and service provision.

Speaking during the signing ceremony which took place at University main campus in Kitwe on 10th March 2021, CBU Vice Chancellor Prof. Naison Ngoma said that the signing of the MOU demonstrated the university’s effort in supporting the industry and Government to have critical expertise for economic development through the provision of quality education for all.

And ZIDIS Director Ms Loveness Mulindika said this partnership will enable ZIDIS realize its full potential through the introduction of new programmes in the field of diplomacy which directly respond to the needs of society.

The two institutions have since embarked on implementing the areas of collaboration as outlined in the MOU.
