The Electronic Resource department in the library is responsible for acquiring, maintaining and providing access to electronic resources, the unit achieves this service through identification, selection and recommendation of subscription to electronic resources. The department is also responsible for managing the Library Management System (Liberty 5).
The Electronic Resource department provides the following services:
- Provision of access to Databases, E-Journals and E-Books
- Information consultation for users to search for the necessary information in databases and internet
- Provision of users access to multimedia resources
- Implementation of new ICTs
- Provision of Information Literacy
LIBRARY INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) SERVICES
The Library ICT Services constitute the platform on which access to e-resources is developed. The Electronic Resource Department is responsible for ensuring efficient functioning of the ICT Infrastructure and availability of connectivity to internet services. The Department achieves its operations through direct collaboration between the Library, through the Librarians office and the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (DICT).
