The Directorate of Commercial and Corporate affairs (DCCA) was created to facilitate for an engaged, responsive university that understands, anticipates and fulfills the expectations of various stakeholders while leveraging on those relationships and resources to pursue the university’s mission and strategic objectives. DCCA is responsible for nurturing and extracting more value from the University’s relationships, research and innovations. The department provides strategic support to the University community in critical areas of innovative Communication, Marketing and Entrepreneurship to manage the stakeholder landscape; facilitate business growth and drive sales of programmes, products and services. The department is structured to speak to the key stakeholders of the University thus ensuring that engagement with various stakeholders is always –on, multi-channel and multi-level. The department further focuses on promoting research outputs and innovations with commercial value as well as promoting consultancy to make available academic and professional skills and expertise to stimulate industrial development. The identified key stakeholders of the university include students, employees, alumni, industry, media, Government and non-government organizations with whom the university collaborates with in actualizing teaching, research, innovation, community service and industrialization.
