CBU LAUNCHES LUSAKA CAMPUS

In a landmark development, the Copperbelt University has unveiled and launched its Lusaka campus, signalling a significant step forward in providing quality education and expanding access to higher learning opportunities in Zambia. Speaking at the launch, the acting Vice-Chancellor of Copperbelt University, Professor Paul Chisale emphasized the importance of this milestone, stating, “The establishment of the Lusaka campus reflects our commitment to expanding access to quality education. We believe that this development will not only benefit the students but also contribute significantly to the socio-economic growth of the nation.”

The launch of the Lusaka campus has also been met with enthusiasm by the government, which recognizes the vital role of education in nation-building. The Minister of Education, Hon Douglas Syakalima who was represented by the Permanent secretary for Technical Services Mr Joel Kamoko commended the university’s expansion, stating, ‘’the Copperbelt University’s decision to open a campus in Lusaka is a welcome development that aligns with the government’s vision of increasing access to higher education’’

With the establishment of the Lusaka campus, the institution aims to bridge the geographical gap and cater to a broader student demographic while strengthening its commitment to excellence and inclusivity.
