A big congratulations to our Law students for a tremendous performance at the recently held Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) Golden Jubilee Moot Court Competition for the year 2023.

The Competition which was held in Livingstone at the LAZ Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM), was graced by the President of the Republic of Zambia His Excellency Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, and served as the final stage of the competition. There, the CBU team, comprising of third and second year students in the Faculty of Law among them Rudo Phiri, John Musonda, Beletina Pupe and Daniel Mukelabai, successfully defended their third position and were awarded a

bronze trophy and various legal textbooks. This is the first time CBU participated in this prestigious competition and the first LLB Cohort from the university will be graduated this year.

Over 1000 law students from a total of 10 universities participated in the national competition with first place taken by the University of Zambia and second place by Eden University and third place taken by the Copperbelt University.
