RESEARCH INTERESTS

Peter has a combined experience of teaching and research exceeding 8 years. His main interests in teaching economics are in health economics, public sector economics, mathematical statistics and environmental economics. Peter also has considerable experience in applied research focusing on determinants of health, child health cognitive development, human resources for health as well as trade policy. Peter has worked on projects that have generated evidence for policy making in child and maternal health in Zambia. He has also worked on projects in malaria, agriculture, child health immunisation, child cognitive development, caregiver’s recognition of child illness and employment creation. Peter holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts Degrees in Economics from the University of Zambia. Peter has a modern approach to teaching and mentoring that encourages students to utilise their intuition, allows them to work independently and acquire the highly demanded soft skills.
