Biography
Theodore M. Mwamba has a primary research interest in sustainable management of the environment, including agroecosystems. He has a first degree in Agronomy from the University of Lubumbashi (DR Congo) and a PhD in Plant Stress Physiology and Regulation from Zhejiang University (Hangzhou, China).
He has a decade of experience in teaching and research at the University of Lubumbashi (DR Congo) and is currently a staff member of ORTARChl Chair of Environment and Development at the Copperbelt University (Zambia) as a Postdoctoral Researcher.
Theodore is notably equipped with skills in Ecotoxicological Assessment, Land Use Evaluation for crop production, and Ecological Restauration of degraded environments. Further, he has a good background in Agroecology, and through training and workshop sessions, he regularly advocates environmentally friendly and climate-smart Agriculture, including agroforestry systems. At the ORTARChI chair, he is involved in research activities and supervising graduate students’ projects relating to pollution and remediation studies of mine-generated wastelands in Zambia. Theodore is passionate about landscape sightseeing and eagerly seeks opportunities to explore various ecosystems.
