STUDENT INVOLVEMENT IN HARDWARE REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE

Students at the Copperbelt University have risen to the challenge and are proving to be strategic partners with the Directorate of ICTs in printer repairs and maintenance. Through such programs, students have gained extensive knowledge and skills to an extent that they are able to carry out such works on their own and hence help the University in maintaining and resuscitating hardware equipment.

Testimony to this is the recent wonderful work that was done by a group of students together with some staff members who repaired over 30 printers and copiers that had been non-operational for a long period of time.

The equipment that was once housed and pending disposal in the University main computer lab has since been repaired and distributed and is fully operational with no faults recorded since then. This is a clear  testimony of what the future holds in the field of hardware repairs and is an indication of the talented and innovative students that that the Copperbelt University is  producing.
