
PROF. EPHRAIM MUNSHIFWA

Ephraim Kabunda Munshifwa is an Associate Professor of Real Estate and Director, Lusaka Campus. He is also a visiting Associate Professor at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. Prof. Munshifwa is former Dean of the School of the Built Environment at the Copperbelt University and the last Chairperson of the Valuation Surveyors Registration Board (VSRB) before its transformation into the Zambia Institute of Valuation Surveyors (ZIVS). He has been in practice for 31 years, having graduated with a BSc in Land Economy (Copperbelt University) and later obtained an MPhil in Land Economy (University of Cambridge) and PhD Construction Economics and Management (University of Cape Town). Professor Munshifwa has all-round experience in the land and real estate sub-sector as an academic, researcher, and practitioner. Additionally, he is an accredited trainer in Corporate Board Leadership under the Institute of Directors Zambia. Professor Munshifwa is a member of several local and international associations and societies, including the Zambia Institute of Valuation Surveyors (ZIVS), Zambia Institute of Estate Agents (ZIEA), Institute of Directors Zambia (IODZ), Society for Institutional and Organisational Economics (SIOE-USA), and African Real Estate Society (AfRES). Professor Munshifwa is also a fellow of the Cambridge Commonwealth Society.
Professor Munshifwa has published widely, including in journals such as Habitat International, Land Use Policy, Town and Regional Planning, Urban Forum, Agrarian South, and Asian and African Studies. MRS MARGARET BANDA
DEPUTY REGISTRAR
Mrs. Margaret Banda, the Deputy Registrar at the Lusaka Campus of the Copperbelt University, is a seasoned administrator and Human Resource Management practitioner. Her career spans over eighteen (18) years, and she has served the Copperbelt University in various capacities at a senior level. Mrs. Banda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management. She is a Full Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management. Her current role involves heading the Human Resources and Administration function and providing administrative support to all academic activities at the campus.

DR GOSNELL LENOX YORKE

PhD (Religious/Biblical Studies and two-years of Legal Training, McGill University, Canada); Post-Doctoral Certificate in Linguistics (University of South Africa); and External Research Fellow, The Tshepo Institute for the Study of Contemporary Africa (Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada).
Dr Gosnell Lenox Yorke is the Coordinator of the Lusaka Branch Office of the Dag Hammarskjöld Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies (DHIPS). He earned a PhD from McGill University in Canada (1987) where he also studied law for two years (1986-1988). There, he was taught by Prof. John Humphrey, the Canadian Drafter of what is now the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the UN. Later, Dr. Yorke earned a post-doctoral Certificate in Linguistics from the University of South Africa (1999). He also holds a BA (1976 – University of the Southern Caribbean, Trinidad), an MA (1977 – Andrews University, USA) and another master’s degree (1979 – McGill University). A Zambian Resident and a Naturalized Citizen of Canada and South Africa, Dr. Yorke was born in St. Kitts-Nevis in the Caribbean. He has lectured in Canada, the United States, Jamaica, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. Fluent in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish, he also has a basic speaking knowledge of Kiswahili.
In DHIPS, he teaches, researches and publishes in the areas of religion, language, human rights, and the pan-African interactions within all six Regions of the African Union, encompassing both Africa and its Diaspora. As a Translation Consultant who was trained by the United Bible Societies, he has consulted for various Bible Translation Agencies in Africa, including the Bible Society of Zambia. He is a Former Extraordinary Professor at the Institute for African Renaissance Studies at the University of South Africa (now part of the Thabo Mbeki School of Public and International Affairs); Former Honorary Consul (Diplomat) for his Caribbean State to South Africa; and currently, both a Member of the Global Coordinating Committee of the Trans-Atlantic Roundtable on Religion and Race and an External Research Fellow in the Tshepo Institute for the Study of Contemporary Africa at Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada.

Mrs Sekela Kaonga Munyati is a highly experienced business studies lecturer with over 8 years experience of teaching and administration. Currently a Lecturer and coordinator for the School of Business at the Copperbelt University Lusaka Campus. With a BA. and an MBA she is well equipped with the academia rigor and practical insights necessary to navigate the diverse landscape of modern business. Ms Natasha Nyanja is a highly respected Information Technology lecturer with a passion for inspiring the next generation of tech professionals. She holds a Master of Engineering degree in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) from a prestigious university and has more than eight years of experience in both academia and industry. Throughout her career, Natasha has been dedicated to the advancement of IT education and training. Her dynamic teaching style and innovative curriculum design have made her a favourite among students. She has a knack for breaking down complex technical concepts into easily digestible lessons, fostering a deep understanding of IT principles.
Her research not only informs her teaching but also contributes to the ever-evolving field of information technology. As an advocate for diversity and inclusion in tech, Natasha is actively involved in mentoring underrepresented students and promoting gender balance in STEM fields. SYDNEY KABANGO CHISHIMBA (PHD)

Dr. S. K. Chishimba is lecturer and Researcher at the Copperbelt University in Zambia under the Department of Economics. He holds a PhD in Economics from University of Cape Town, South Africa, MA (Economics) – University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and BA- University of Zambia, Zambia. His research interests include climate change, energy economics, inequality, and poverty in developing countries. He is currently researching and working on household energy access, gender, and impact evaluation projects in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Dr Rosemary Fumpa-Makano – Lecturer

Dr Rosemary Fumpa-Makano is a Public Policy Specialist with a passion for socially inclusive development. She is an ardent advocate for peace, prudent management of our natural wealth, gender equality and pro-poor strategies and policies.
She holds a PhD in Political Science and an MA in Public Policy Administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, United States of America (USA). She also holds a BSc. in Agroforestry from the University of Wales in the United Kingdom (UK) and a Diploma in Forestry from Zambia Forestry College.
She currently works at the Copperbelt University (CBU) Lusaka Campus under the Dag Hammarskjöld Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies. Prior to joining CBU, she taught at the University of Missouri-St. Louis in the USA. Her areas of expertise include Political Science, Public Administration, Agroforestry, Forestry, Horticulture and Floriculture.
Dr. Makano is an accomplished Manager with wide experience in strategic planning; policy analysis and research; project management, monitoring and evaluation; natural resource management; budgeting and financial control; grant writing; and human resource management and development. Over the years, Dr. Makano has served in various capacities at national, regional and international levels, initiating and contributing to efforts aimed at promoting good governance, peacebuilding, sustainable economic
development and natural resource management.
She has extensive industry experience as a Manager, Consultant and Researcher; serving both local and international clients. She brings to the table over 25 years of experience working on national and international policies that deal with governance, peacebuilding, gender equality, natural resources and environmental management.
MRS. MILISINA L. KASONSO

Mrs. Milisina L. Kasonso is a skilled administrator and human resource practitioner with over twelve years of professional experience. She currently serves as the Assistant Registrar at the Lusaka Campus. Mrs. Kasonso holds a Diploma, Degree and Master of Arts in Human Resource Management, as well as a Master of Business Administration (General). She is also a Full Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management. In her capacity at the Lusaka Campus, Mrs. Kasonso offers extensive support to the office of the Deputy Registrar, focusing on human resource management, examinations and admissions.

Rachel Phelile Nyirongo is a resourceful Librarian with over twelve years of experience. She is a holder of a Bachelor of Library and Information Science as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Ms Nyirongo currently serves as the Assistant Librarian at the Lusaka Campus, providing support to students for all library-related matters.

Ms Linda Moonga serves as the Assistant Accountant at the Lusaka Campus and has over eighteen (18) years of experience in various finance sections. Ms Moonga possesses a Bachelor of Accountancy, ZICA Technician and Licentiate. She is also a member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).

Mrs Sheila Chitwamali Nkhani is a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computing and currently pursuing a career in Human Resource Management with a bias towards human resource management and information systems. She is also a well-vested personnel administrator with multiple years of experience handling student and staff welfare, asset management and ICT user support. Mrs Nkhani possesses strong analytical, problem-solving solving and critical thinking skills with an ardent desire to understand the university environment, particularly the Lusaka Campus and its business needs while adapting to the ever-changing environment within which it operates.

Mrs Milumbe Simuzya Ngwira is a dedicated professional with a strong foundation in public administration and a deep commitment to making a positive impact in administration, public policy, public service, and conflict resolution. She holds a Diploma in Office Management, a Certificate in Diplomatic Practice, Protocol, and Public Relations and a Professional Diploma in Project Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation. Mrs Ngwira is also a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from Mulungushi University and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies at the Copperbelt University (CBU) and a Master of Public Administration at Mulungushi University.
