ABOUT THE DEAN OF STUDENTS

Broadly, the Dean of Students Department Co-ordinates and directs student welfare services, participates in the formulation of policies regarding student life programmes development and advises management on problems relating to policy and the administration of the Department.  It takes responsibility for responding to the needs of students and plans for the overall out-of-class activities for them.  In addition to that, it oversees the administrative behavioural and academic progress of students.  It enforces disciplinary hearings.  It oversees student financial aid, approves or denies funding requests. Apart from that, it addresses the student concerns and refers students in question to the various offices including the counselors for help.  Finally, the Department also organizes and runs administrative meetings and oversees sororities and fraternities.
