MESSAGE FROM THE VICE CHANCELLOR ON THE SIGNIFICANCE OF LABOR DAY

All too often it is generally taken that receipts of awards on this day must necessarily be tactical level staff who would have been assumed to have performed meritiously. There are many views as to how this should be done with the proverbial monetary/a commandment letter topping arguments without a definitive conclusion. I seek not to enter this debate for the present but to state very categorically that such recognition must of necessity be to ALL deserving staff. All too often members of staff in senior strategic management level are erroneously considered outside this realm of recognition by some quoters. I chose to make the difference by publicly recognizing senior staff for performing beyond the call of normal duty exhibited by tremendously high levels of professionalism and serving this institution from going into the abyss of mediocrity and nothingness as an institution of higher learning. Only I as the CEO of the institution could make the call of this level of staff and proud of doing so. Congratulations colleagues for your unflinching professionalism for which you must never faulter. Lt. Col. Professor Naison Ngoma, VC CBU.
