Frank Tayali; Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts, Hon. Elvis Nkandu, Attorney General Mr Mulilo Kabesha, Permanent Secretary for Youth and Sports, Mr. Kangwa Chileshe; Director General of the Citizen Economic Empowerment Commission, Dr. Charles Mungule; and senior officials from various government ministries and private sector. The discussions centered on fostering strategic collaborations to support the university\u2019s ambitious development agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"965\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cbu.ac.zm\/schoolsAndUnits\/tc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2025\/03\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-03-26-at-9.42.08-AM-1-1024x965.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-416\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cbu.ac.zm\/schoolsAndUnits\/tc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2025\/03\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-03-26-at-9.42.08-AM-1-1024x965.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.cbu.ac.zm\/schoolsAndUnits\/tc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2025\/03\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-03-26-at-9.42.08-AM-1-300x283.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.cbu.ac.zm\/schoolsAndUnits\/tc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2025\/03\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-03-26-at-9.42.08-AM-1-768x724.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.cbu.ac.zm\/schoolsAndUnits\/tc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2025\/03\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-03-26-at-9.42.08-AM-1.jpeg 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the key proposals presented by the Vice-Chancellor were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Construction of a Level ii University Hospital to enhance healthcare services for students, staff, and the surrounding community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of modern sports and recreational facilities to promote student wellness and talent development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upgrading laboratories and classrooms to meet global education and research standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improving overall university infrastructure to create a conducive learning environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking during the meetings, Professor Nyambe expressed optimism about the potential partnerships, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts between the university and key government sectors to achieve sustainable development goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018These engagements are a crucial step in securing the necessary support to modernize the Copperbelt University. We are committed to exploring opportunities that empower students and improve educational facilities,\u2019 he noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CBU remains committed to fostering partnerships that align with its mission of academic excellence, innovation, and national development.
