The Academic Affairs Office is a Unit under the Registrar\u2019s Department. The Deputy Registrar for Academic Affairs plans and conducts student registration and orientation, maintains and updates academic records, interprets and applies academic policies, certifies eligibility for associate and baccalaureate degrees, determines resident fee classification for tuition purposes, maintains processes and provides support for academic grading and advising, verifies enrollment and degrees awarded, plans and directs commencement ceremonies and convocation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is responsible for advertising programmes on offer each academic year, admission of candidates to the various programmes, registration of students, the conducts examinations and graduation ceremonies. The Academic Affairs Office is the secretariat of the University Senate and is, therefore, the custodian of academic policies passed by the Senate. The Academic Affairs Office has two sections namely; Admissions and Examinations which are responsible for admissions and examinations. The Sections are headed by Assistant Registrar (Admissions and Examinations) who are assisted by two (2) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Administrative Officers, one responsible for admissions and examinations respectively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Senate section is responsible for Senate issues relating to Curriculum reviews, graduation ceremonies and issuance of certificates and transcripts of results and preparation of graduation ceremonies.\u00a0 The section is also the custodian of students\u2019 records.\u00a0 The Assistant Registrar (Senate) superintends over the section and is assisted by the Senior Administrative Officer and Assistant Administrative Officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
