Initially a capacity-building project for academic and research staff, CAD has evolved into a directorate focused on professional capacity development and quality assurance. &nbsp;CAD provides comprehensive support in the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Teaching Staff Support:<\/strong> Includes pedagogical assistance, workshops on new teaching and research methods, ICT in teaching and leadership training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Quality Assurance Support:<\/strong> Offers training in quality assurance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Information Sharing and Awareness Raising:<\/strong> Offers guidance on accreditation and qualification registration, and other regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Institutional Audit Support:<\/strong> Assists with preparation for institutional audits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Accreditation Facilitation:<\/strong> Supports schools and units to accredit and register learning programmes and qualifications with accreditation bodies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About Us The Centre for Academic Development (CAD), established in 2011, is a key university directorate responsible for academic development and quality assurance.
