APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2021 ACADEMIC YEAR (SEMESTER PROGRAMMES)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission to the following programmes at the Copperbelt University.

These programmes are conducted in the evenings commencing January 2021.

  1. SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES
  1. Bachelor of Science in Economics

Entry Requirements:

  • Applicants should have obtained at least five (5) ‘O’ Levels, with a credit or better, including Mathematics and English.
  • Bachelor of Arts in Peace and Conflicts Studies
  • Bachelor of Arts in Governance and Social Development
  • Bachelor of Arts in Music with Performance
  • Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management
  • Bachelor of Law

Entry Requirements:

  • Applicants to the above programmes should have a minimum of a PASS in Mathematics, and CREDITS in four subjects  including English.  
  • SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
  1. Bachelor of Business Administration *
  2. Bachelor of  Accountancy *
  3. Bachelor of Science in  Marketing *
  4. Bachelor of Science in Banking & Finance *
  5. Bachelor of Science in Purchasing and Supply *
  6. Bachelor of Science in Transport and Logistics
  7. Bachelor of Science in Business and Project Management

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS              

  • Applicants to all programmes should have at least five (5) “O” Level Credits or better, including Mathematics and English.
  • Bachelor of Human Resource Management

Applicants to this programme should have a minimum of a PASS in Mathematics, and CREDITS in four subjects including English..

  1. Special consideration will also be given to holders of relevant certificates from recognised institutions.

*Note that programmes marked with asterisk * are also offered at the Copperbelt University Lusaka Campus.

  • SCHOOL OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY

(a) Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT)

(b) Diploma in Information Technology (DIT)

                        ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

The two programmes of study are primarily intended to equip students with essential ICT concepts and skills that will be of direct and immediate relevance in a practical context.            

        ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicants to both programmes should have at least five (5) “O” Level Credits or better, including Mathematics and English.
  • Applicants who already hold a Diploma in Computer Science, Diploma in Information Technology or related from a recognised institution of higher learning will be exempted from doing the first 2 years 6 months (5 Semesters) of the Bachelor’s Degree programme.
  • Special consideration will also be given to holders of relevant certificates from recognised institutions.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Candidates are requested to apply on-line by logging on to the Copperbelt University website athttp://www.cbu.edu.zm and clicking the online link. Applicants are further advised to complete and submit the form online and thereafter print the ZANACO student Bill Muster form.

This is what will be used to make a payment of K200.00 at any Zambia National Commercial Bank Branch (ZANACO).
